The most common mistake in preparing for the OB/GYN oral exam is not having enough exposure to the oral exam environment. How many oral examinations have you had? The most important examination of your life is in a medium of examination about which you probably have little or no experience! It is vital to be comfortable with this medium of examination.
- We have decades of experience from OB/GYNs and past candidates. From experience, we know what is repeatedly asked in the exam. We provide a realistic and accurate mock oral exam. We encourage you to have as many mock oral exams as you can with friends and colleagues. In addition, it is certainly worthwhile to have as many mock orals as your budget will allow with professionally trained mock oral examiners. Types of Mock Orals
- Private mock oral: Private mock orals provide an intense 1-on-1 individualized exposure to the oral exam environment. This is only done during a Live in-person or live ZOOM Definitive Board Prep Course.
- Private Telephone Mock Oral: This is a very commonly purchased type of mock oral . It accomplishes everything that a private (in person) mock oral does, but saves the hassle of time and cost of transport to meet with your mock oral examiner.
- Virtual Mock Oral: The same as a telephone mock oral but done via ZOOM.
- Public Mock Oral: This is a two hour session and you are guaranteed at least 15 minutes in the hot seat. (only done at in-person courses)
Since we have only a limited number of time slots available and do get fully booked every year (having to turn candidates away), you are encouraged (to avoid disappointment) not to leave registration for your mock oral to the last minute. This is especially so toward the end of the year when demand is high.
Once you have purchased a telephone/virtual mock oral, please send your case list to MP3@exampro.com. In the subject line write your name and telephone mock. In the body of the email please include all of your contact information as well as which week you would like the mock oral. It is the candidates responsibility to contact the office to schedule your mock oral.
If you have a scheduled mock oral and you cannot keep the appointed time you must contact your examiner at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule. Any notifications within 24 hours of the scheduled mock oral will be considered forfeited.
It is the responsibility of the candidate to contact our office to schedule all mock orals.
"I am ecstatic to inform you that I passed my ABOG oral boards. I want to thank you and your wonderful team from the bottom of my heart for your dedication to teaching, ensuring that people like me (a horrible test taker and full time working mom who did not have any time off to study) had a chance to excel over this very stressful exam. I was also very successful with my case list in all 3 sections, so I wanted to give credit to Dr Green for such a thorough review of my case list. Finally, the webinars were so helpful; all the instructors were amazing. I would especially like to highlight Dr Zoe Milian and Dr Foley because they really make that hot seat burn, but in doing so prepare you so well for the exam. I will definitely be referring people to your course. " AOA
