Dr. Alvin D. Schamroth is the founder of ExamPro. He has assisted thousands of candidates nationwide to pass their boards. Having been initially trained in the European medical system, he has personally passed over 300 oral exams. In addition, his late father (a world-renowned lecturer and author of several medical texts) was also an oral board examiner and passed secrets of the examiner's perspective on to his son. Dr. Schamroth has also been on the faculty of the Osler Institute, Director and faculty member of Masters Board Review and has lectured at multiple university program OB/GYN departments across the nation. Dr. Schamroth has personally selected all our faculty and staff based on their knowledge, teaching skills, and willingness to help those requiring board certification. Dr. Fouad Abbas was originally trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and is currently Head of Department of Gynecological Oncology at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. Dr. Abbas has incredible teaching abilities. Those who have been fortunate to have him as their teacher uniformly speak of his incredible energy, understanding of the subject, and ability to pass this knowledge onto others.

Dr. Graham Aberdeen is associate professor at the University of Maryland in the Department of OBGYN and Reproductive Sciences in the Division of Perinatal Research.. His expertise lies in the field of reproductive physiology and endocrinology, for which he received his BSc, MSc and PhD. He has over 20 years teaching experience at prestigious institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, and has received 7 figure grants for his research.
His resume presents the reader with pages and pages of peer reviewed articles and almost 50 abstracts.He was also superbly well received for his presentations at the ExamPro REI Board Review course.

Dr. James Airoldi rose to the ranks of MFM specialist mostly via Thomas Jefferson University. Amongst his multiple awards are the National Deans List, Alpha Omega Alpha and several Best Teacher awards. He is highly sought after as a guest speaker at review courses and grand rounds lectures throughout the country. He has multiple publications (most of which have him as the primary author) including several book chapters and countless abstracts.

Dr. Cande Ananth heads up our Biostatistics division. He is currently Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Director for the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His exhaustive 61 page resume reveals a PhD, MPH, MS and BS degrees. He is involved with CDC and NIH, has advised on countless theses, is on the editorial boards of multiple publications, is the recipient of multiple awards and has directed various courses in epidemiology and biostatistics. With over 175 publications to his name, he is widely recognized as an authority in his field.

Dr. Mark Borowsky Recently joined our GYN Oncology service. After receiving his training at Cornell and repeatedly making the Dean's List, he is currently the director of the Division of GYN Oncology at Christiana Care, Delaware. He has received multiple awards, including excellence in resident education. He is often requested to be guest speaker at multiple institutions as well as board review courses. He is known for his engaging style of lecturing.

Dr. Charles Chaffin is our expert on ovarian function and disease states for our REI board review course. Having received degrees in Reproductive Toxicology, Biological Sciences and Psychobiology, he is presently associate professor at the University of Maryland's Dept of OB/GYN and Reproductive Sciences. He has received multiple awards, been significantly involved in graduate course development and received multiple teaching awards. He has published extensively: over 30 peer reviewed journals, 9 book chapters, 60 abstracts, not to mention the 20 seminars in which he has lectured. Dr. Chaffin will amaze you with his easy-going and effective teaching style.

Dr. John Chan began his illustrious career with a BA in Molecular Cell Biology at Berkeley . He was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society, Delta Chapter, UCLA School of Medicine. He went on to complete his MD, FACOG and GYN Onc degrees, he is now director of GYN Oncology at the University of California , San Francisco. He has received multiple awards and honors for excellence in research and teaching, from prestigious institutions such as Stamford University , NIH and MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is a reviewer for multiple major scientific publications, has delivered by request, an ever growing list of presentations nationwide and published extensively in peer-reviewed literature as well as written several book chapters.

Dr. Thomas Donner delivers our lectures on adrenal, thyroid and neuro-endocrinology and disease. He is Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology. In addition to receiving his BS Magna Cum Laude, he went on to get his MD, certification in Internal Medicine and certification in Endocrinology. He has received multiple teaching awards and has almost 20 pages on his resume dedicated solely to teaching presentations, abstracts and publications.

Dr. Kevin Scott Ferentz continues ExamPro's commitment to top quality Primary Care. He received his BS degree at SUNY, Albany graduating Magna cum Laude, before getting his MD degree. He completed a residency in Family Practice at the University of Baltimore, where he also did a fellowship in Obstetrics. He is currently assistant professor in Epidemiology and Preventative Care and associate professor at the Dept of Family Medicine at University of Maryland. He is currently also the Chief Medical Officer at Baltimore Medical System, Inc. He is the recipient of countless honors and awards (comprising 3 pages on his resume!) most of which relate to teaching, and America's Top Doctors. He is on the board of multiple medical journals, with a long list of publications including several book chapters under the belt. He is highly sought after as an authority on several topics relating to family practice and preventative care.

Dr. Louis Foley we were extremely fortunate to discover Dr Foley when he attended one of our courses as an exam candidate! His flair for presentation and teaching became immediately evident, such that he was invited to join our faculty shortly thereafter. He is the recipient of the Clifford Powell Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching and also received the honor of 'Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Surgeon!'

Dr. Michelle Fox is recognized for expertise in the field of contraception. She graduated medical school from Johns Hopkins and completed her residency training at Beth Israel Deaconess medical Center/Harvard Medical School. She then completed a family planning fellowship and Masters of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently Assistant Professor and is the Associate Fellowship Director of the Family Planning Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She has been the recipient of multiple awards, and has extensive teaching experience. Like all our faculty, she is widely published with multiple papers and abstracts to her credit.

Dr. John Gordon received his MD degree from Duke, went on to complete a BA Summa Cum Laude at Princeton and is currently Professor in the department of OB/GYN at George Washington University. He is widely recognized for the standard texts which he authored, including co-authorships with Drs Desai, Speroff and Spellacy. He has received multiple honors including from APGO and ASRM and is a widely respected lecturer and speaker.

Dr. Grant Greenberg began his Family Practice academic career with a BS degree at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He went on to complete MA and MD degree before receiving his family practice residency, once again at University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was invited to stay on where he has been heavily involved in teaching and multiple other functions in the department of Family Medicine.
He is on the editorial board of scientific journals More importantly from ExamPro's point of view, he has received multiple awards for teaching and continues to be involved in countless ongoing teaching activities and publications.

Dr. Cynthia Hall joins the ExamPro faculty in the area of Urogynecology. She is presently the Director of the Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. In addition to multiple academic publications an extensive research, she is a distinguished lecturer, having delivered presentations both locally and internationally. She is well received as a lecturer and teacher and has lectured at countless grand rounds as well as other national educational courses.

Dr. Diane Harper how does one condense a 56 page resume into 1 paragraph? It is impossible to do justice to her credentials! Suffice to say that Dr Harper not only has an MD degree, but also received an SB and SM degree from MIT. She is board certified in family practice medicine and also an associate member of ACOG. She is a referee for over 30 journals (including Lancet, JAMA, Journal of Reproductive Medicine and NEJM). She has received countless awards nationwide for excellence in teaching and is also actively involved in academics on an international scale, with countless publications to her name. Dr Harper is clearly one of those phenomenal people who succeeds at whatever she does. We are indeed fortunate to have such an august member on our faculty.

Dr. Howard Hatasaka initially studied at Stanford University and Cleveland Metropolitan and completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology under Dr Leon Speroff. He is currently associate clinical professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah Medical Center, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology. He is on the editorial boards of multiple journals, and is the recipient of multiple honors, in particular for his expertise in teaching (including APGO), and research. He furthermore has countless abstracts, publications and book chapters to his credit.

Dr. Peter Heyl is an MFM specialist having completed his fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Massachusetts. He has been an instructor at Harvard and is currently Full Clinical Professor at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Virginia. He has authored multiple book chapters, articles, abstracts and posters and is also the recipient of multiple honorary awards, especially in the area of teaching.

Dr. Hytham Imseis' career has been startling from the beginning. He completed his undergraduate training at Tulane University, was on the Deans List, and completed his residency at Duke University. He was the director at the Chapel Hill affiliated program in Ashville NC and recently moved into a private practice position in Charlotte NC. He has received countless awards for excellence in teaching, from CREOG, APGO and ACOG. He has furthermore lectured and directed multiple courses on various aspects of OB. He is on the editorial board for several publications (including AJOG and J of Reproductive Medicine) and has multiple publications and textbook contributions to his name. He is renowned for his dynamic style of teaching.

Dr. Mark Incerpi completed both his residency and MFM fellowship at University of Southern California, where he continues to practice as Clinical Associate Professor as well as Residency Program Director. He has received countless awards for his superb skills in clinical practice as well as teaching. These include Best Doctors in America, CREOG Outstanding Faculty Teaching award, APGO Excellence in Teaching Award to name a few. He is furthermore involved in Journal Reviews for both Obstetrics and Gynecology and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is widely published and has authored multiple book chapters.

Dr. Melissa Iwaszko is the Assistant Director at Genetics & IVF Institute. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and has a Masters in Clinical Embryology(MSc.) from Leeds University in Leeds, England. She is certified Embryology Laboratory Director(ELD) and Technical Supervisor(TS) per American Board of Bioanalysis.

Dr. Kevin Justus was formerly an attendant at one of ExamPro's seminars. Even at that stage, he excelled himself by sharing some instructive thoughts in a most dynamic way with his colleagues. He is presently in private practice in Santa Monica and is one of the most highly regarded MFMs in the area. He is the recipient of several scholarship awards (including awards fro ACOG), has multiple publications and posters to his name, and has had an extensive list of lectures which he has delivered on a wide range of MFM subjects at various functions nationwide.

Dr. Robert O. Atlas
Dr. Robert Atlas is Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, where he is committed to keeping Mercy on the leading edge of care for women across their life-span. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, Division of Maternal and Fetal Medicine and Associate Residency Program Director at the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he provides both teaching and mentoring to residents and medical students.
A 1987 graduate of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA., Dr. Atlas completed his internship in OB/GYN at the University of Maryland Medical Systems in 1988. Board Certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Atlas has also served as Clinical Professor at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, and as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Atlas is actively involved with local organizations and community committees committed to improving birth outcomes in Baltimore. Dr. Atlas has given numerous talks on Preconception Health, Environmental Factors Influencing Pregnancy and Prematurity and the Obesity Epidemic.
Dr. Atlas and his wife, Mindy, have three grown sons, Brian, Michael and Daniel. Personal interests include gardening, golfing, sports and the arts.

Dr. Sam Siddighi
Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at LLUHC and Director of the Fellowship Training Program in FPMRS: Dr. Sam Siddighi has been an invited speaker for numerous events. He has authored over 40 chapters and three books, his latest creation is called, What's Going On Down There? Answers and Advice to All of Your Pelvic Health Questions on Women's Health. He has been on AM talk radio and been profiled in the San Bernardino Sun and Physician Practice Magazine. His passion and excellence have landed him a handful of awards for teaching, research, and laparoscopic surgery. Before returning to Loma Linda, Dr. Siddighi lived in Ohio and trained with Mickey Karram. And before that he lived in the San Francisco Bay area and received a degree in Psychology and Molecular Biology from UC Berkeley, then moved to New York City for medical school. Dr. Siddighi has expertise in management of complications of pelvic surgery and treatment of prolapse by vaginal and robotic approach.

Dr. Herman Weiss
Dr Weiss graduated The Ohio State University Medical School and successfully completed his residency in Ob/Gyn at Jacobi Medical Center and Einstein COM. He joined a private practice where he started a Bladder Health Center which specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms. He obtained an MBA from George Washington University. He co-founded a biotech company centered around Women's Health Diseases and currently he is a scientific adviser to this company. He successfully transitioned into the Pharmaceutical industry and is the current Global Medical Director for Women's Health medical affairs and the Senior Medical Director for Women's Health RD at Teva Pharmaceuticals LTD.. He continues to see patients privately and lectures to the community on preventative health care and other pertinent updates on Women's Health. When he isn't busy with work he enjoys helping his 6 children with their homework, mountain biking and tennis.

Dr. George Kovalevsky
| is a reproductive endocrinologist who is the Director of Academic Affairs with Reproductive Associates of Delaware. He has been the recipient of multiple awards especially in the area of teaching. Not only does he have multiple publications (most with himself as primary author), Dr. Kovalevsky additionally has equally numerous abstracts to his name, has been involved in several research projects, and is a reviewer for many of the 'gold standard' journals in the field of OBGYN and General Medicine.. Most importantly from ExamPro's perspective however, are the multiple presentations he has given at various settings including ACOG and ASRM. |

Dr. Andrew Malinow currently heads up the Section of OB Anesthesia at University of Maryland. His training is highlighted with an BSc (Bioengineering) at Johns Hopkins and Obstetric Anesthesia at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He has received multiple awards for excellence, teaching as well as countless 'Top Doctor' awards. He is on the editorial boards of almost a dozen journals and has lectured almost annually at the ASA annual meeting refresher course. Dr.Malinow has written 20 textbooks chapters, multiple book reviews, 36 articles and almost 50 abstracts! He has also lectured widely both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Margaret Miller graduated from Emory University. She is nationally unique since she is trained as an internal medicine specialist but has chosen to specialize and work in a unique OB consultant clinic staffed by internists! She is thus uniquely positioned to lecture on primary care topics. This view is echoed by our candidates’ feedback: ‘Never before have I heard such a clear, inclusive and interesting perspective on primary care!’ She has been invited to make multiple presentations both regionally and nationally, and has played a central role in the teaching of medical students and residents. She is a welcome addition to our faculty.

Dr. Edward Podczaski headed up the department of GYN Oncology at The Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine and is now is private practice. He has authored multiple articles, book chapters and is consultant to the 'Green' Journal, Cancer, and Gynecologic Oncology Journals. Of more importance, however, are the multiple presentations he has delivered nationwide, not to mention recently, being the recipient of a national award for excellence in resident teaching. He is a phenomenal lecturer on the national OB/GYN lecture circuit making the subject of Gyn Onc seem simple and easy.

Dr. Giuseppe Del Priore is currently Associate Residency Director and Fellowship Director in OB/GYN and Oncology at New York Downtown Hospital. His phenomenally impressive resume reveals his multifaceted expertise, having received a BA degree magna cum laude, MPH in Biostats and Epidemiology and MD with distinction. In addition to multiple rewards (many in the area of reproductive medicine) and especially for his teaching abilities, he has over 75 publications, almost 50 published abstracts and more than 75 presentations to his name. He furthermore has contributed chapters to 10 different books, edited a further 5 and is on the editorial boards of all the standards OB/GYN publications. His reputation is not only confined to the borders of our nation, but extends internationally as well.

Dr. Elnar P. Sakala
Dr. Elnar P. Sakala is Professor of Gynecology & Obstetrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and has been on the teaching staff for over 30 years. He has received Teacher-of-the-year award on multiple occasions from LLU School of Medicine and APGO. He has dozens of peer-reviewed publications, authored many book chapters and written two review books on Obstetrics & Gynecology for medical students that are used around the world. He is a frequent lecturer around North America on Obstetrics & Gynecology in review courses for the United States Medical Licensing Exam. He has lectured internationally in Europe and Asia. He is currently director of Obstetrical Simulation at LLUSM.
Dr. Sakala graduated from Walla Walla University in 1965 with a BA cum laude (Business Administration) and in 1968 with an MA cum laude (Education). He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1973 with an MD and from Loma Linda University School of Public Health in1974 with an MPH in Nutrition. He completed specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1978 from Oregon Health Sciences Center. He completed fellowship training in 1986 with a sub-specialty in Maternal Fetal Medicine from Loma Linda University Medical Center. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical honor society as well as Delta Omega, Public Health honor society.

Dr. Debra-Lynn Day-Salvatore began her illustrious career with a BA degree in Biology at Harvard, and then went on to receive her MS, PhD and MD degrees. Not yet satisfied, she completed a pediatric and adolescent medicine residency as well as a Medical genetics fellowship! She is currently the Director at the Institute for Genetic Medicine, Saint Peter's University Hospital. She is in great demand nationally and internationally as a guest speaker, and has received countless honors especially for teaching. She has published more than 40 articles, over 30 book chapters and multiple abstracts.

Dr. Al Sarno received his BA prior to obtaining his MD at USC. He went on to complete his MFM fellowship (again at LAC/USC) and a Master's degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, all while reaching the rank of Lt. Col in the US Army Medical Corps. He has received multiple honors: Graduate degree Summa Cum Laude, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Best Clinical Paper to name a few. He is involved internationally in the field of nuchal translucency and ultrasound. He is presently Clinical Associate Professor at Temple University, School of Medicine. He has more than 100 presentations and invited lectures to his name, as well as two book chapters. He will lecture on cardiovascular and respiratory physiology, pathology and thrombo-embolism in pregnancy and placental-uterine physiology.

Dr. Tony Sciscione heads up our MFM wing. Having trained at Johns Hopkins University for his fellowship, he is now Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Drexel University College of Medicine. He is also the Residency Program Director at Christiana Care Health System. His involvement goes further: he is actively involved in the PROLOG publication and a writer for the Part II National Board of Medical Examiners. Furthermore, he is the recipient of countless teaching awards at the national level (CREOG, Resident Teaching and APGO to name a few).

Dr. Jeff Segal sterling career began at Tufts and The Wharton School where he was on the Dean's list and received his BSc Cum Laude majoring in Health Care Management. He went on to get his MD at Jefferson Medical School before he completed his residency and fellowship in Urogynecology. He has received multiple awards from CREOG, ACOG and APGO. He is a journal peer reviewer and has himself published extensively in the 'gold standard' OBGYN journals. He has furthermore lectured nationwide on his areas of expertise within urogynecology.

Dr. Vicken Sepilian a reproductive endocrinologist, is one of the physicians who stood out for excellence from the very beginning. From receiving awards as a PGY-1 resident from CREOG through to being voted onto the ‘Top Docs’ list, he has multiple publications to his name and has also lectured worldwide. And by the way, he is also fluent in Armenian!

Dr. Shailen Shah fits perfectly into the ExamPro philosophy of excellence in teaching. Dr. Danielle Shiller is currently Director of the Women's Wellness Center at Northwest Hospital and Chief of Gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore. Her distinguished career began with being placed on the Dean's list. She then went on to receive the Johns Hopkins Excellence in Teaching Award, an award in laparoscopy and a fellowship in Gynecology/Oncology at Sloane Kettering Memorial Hosiptal. She has several publications to her name and has appeared several times on TV and radio regarding various community health awareness issues.

Dr. Daniel Stein is currently Clinical Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University College and Director of the IVF program at St Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York. He began his career with a BSC Cum Laude, and MD degree (Alpha Omega Alpha) at New York Medical College and went to complete his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at New Jersey Medical School. He has authored multiple publications as well as many abstracts, has lectured extensively in his field and has been interviewed for issues relating to infertility for Fox News!

Dr. Elizabeth Streeten is our 'Osteoporosis' expert. She completed her residency at Johns Hopkins, with fellowships both at Johns Hopkins and NIH. She is currently Associate Professor of Medicine at the Division of Endocrinology and the University of Maryland. She is widely published with about 30 publications, 10 book chapters and multiple abstracts to her name and has lectured widely on her subject.

Dr Iris Tong Is one of our rave faculty who has always scored top marks for all her presentations with ExamPro. Educated at Harvard, The Pasteur Institute (in Paris), Cornell University and Brown University, she is an internist who has received only the highest awards throughout her career. Her extensive resume reveals widespread involvement in teaching and primary care with an emphasis on Women's Health. With multiple original research papers to her name as well as multiple chapters in various medical text books, she is a regular invited speaker on the lecture circuit. Dr. Babak Vakili
joins our Urogyn faculty. Having trained at Jefferson ( Philadelphia ) and Johns Hopkins (Baltimore), he went on to complete his training in urogynecology at the University of Texas. Like all our faculty, he too has countless presentations and publications to his name. Of most interest to us at ExamPro, however, is his list of received honors. This list is extensive, and mostly related to excellence in teaching. He has received these awards from local hospitals through to CREOG and APGO.

Dr. Marion Verp is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago. She is board certified in both OB/GYN and Genetics. She has received numerous awards from multiple different institutions including ACOG. She is ad hoc reviewer and on the editorial board of over a dozen journals (including all the ‘gold standard’ obgyn publications). It goes without saying that she is phenomenally well-published with almost 50 peer reviewed publications, 30 book chapters and a further 50 peer reviewed abstracts to her name. Her list of invited presentations and presentations nationwide is endless!!

Dr. Anthony Vintzileos is currently the chairman at the Department of OB/GYN at Winthrop University Hospital, Stonybrook School of Medicine in New York. His impressive 95 page resume reveals a constant striving and accomplishment of excellence in all that he does. From the ExamPro perspective, he has received multiple awards for excellence in teaching from CREOG, APGO and SMFM. He has also received multiple Best Doctors in America awards and has consistently ranked as one of the top reviewers in OB/GYN. He provides editorial consultation and is on the editorial boards of almost 30 different national and international publications (including all the ‘gold standard’ publications in our field) and is also highly sought after for national review panels. He has been a mentor to 25 MFM fellows with a 100% MFM board exam pass rate! It is no surprise that he has authored 5 text books, and additionally he has contributed chapters to more than 50 books, and published more than 300 articles and 430 abstracts!

Dr. Valerie Watiker is our genetics specialist. Her training originated in pediatrics and soon led to an interest in genetics. She has been invited to give several presentations on multiple topics relating to genetics. All this has increasingly led her to a teaching role at Cedars-Sinai Hospital for which she is well known.
