Such an ''upgrade'' would not be allowed if they have made purchases on 2 or more previous occasions.

I attended the Board Review Course but I still failed my written exam. Am I entitled to anything?

Yes, there is a 100% money back guarantee of course registration if you don''t pass. This guarantee can only be applied if the following conditions are met. ExamPro needs to receive a letter on your letterhead stating that you were trained and completed residency in the US. This must be the first time taking the exam. You must also supply ExamPro a copy of the letter from ABOG. All this must be either faxed or mailed to us by Aug 15 (of the same year). In addition you must have filled out the form that is distributed at the course and have taken the exam within 2 months of attending the course. Candidates that receives the money back guarantee are no longer eligible for  future discounts.

What time does the course start and finish?

Our Case List Construction Course (1 day) typically starts at 7:30 AM and finishes at 6PM (depending on candidate interaction). Our 5 day courses starts at 7AM and ends at 5PM, on the last day we finish at about 1:30 PM, call the office for specific seminars

What is the difference between the Case List Review Course (1 day) and the Definitive Board Prep Course (5 day)?

Our Case List Review Course (1 day) are all conducted prior to case list submission and concentrate on how to construct your case list to highlight your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. In addition, we give you the beginnings of mock oral technique so you can start practicing over the next few months. The Definitive Prep Course (5 day) which are all held after you have completed your case list specializes in reviewing all the cases that are asked year after year, how to handle your case of the day section of the exam and more exposure and tips on oral exam technique. We encourage you to look up the details of each course on web site.

Are there any CME Credits awarded for any of your courses?

Yes, our Board Review course provides 35 hours of CME credits. Our Definitive Board Prep course provides 15 hours of CME credits, and our Mock Oral course provides 6 hours.

My case list was rejected, I will now be testing in the following year. Do I get a refund for the seminar I have not yet attended?

ExamPro will transfer your seminar registration to the following year. If you want a refund you will only be charged the cancellation fee.

Will there be more 5-day courses offered earlier in 2011 for those preparing to take the oral boards during the 2011-2012 season? I am very interested in taking a course, but I''d like to have it completed sooner than August 2011 prior to my exam.

Although we do get requests for our 5 day board prep course to be held earlier in the year, this happens so infrequently it makes it non feasible to hold such a course. We do however suggest those candidates who are ''advanced'' in their exam preparation, should consider our home study package or contact our office so that an ExamPro rep can assist you in catering to your exact needs.

How do I send my case list for review or for telephone mock orals?

If you have used ExamPro software to construct your case list, call our office and we will advise you which email address you should send it to. If you used ABOG software, then you should mail it to us at our Baltimore office. Either way, please call the office to let us know of your intentions and so that we can anticipate its arrival.

Where do I put my colpo cases: Office or GYN sections?

The vast majority of colpo cases are done in the office and should consequently be placed in this portion of your case list. If you did a colpo in the OR, then that case should be placed in the GYN section in the category ''Colposcopy''. We would recommend that in this instance, you should mention something on paper to indicate why it was necessary to do the colpo in the OR versus the office: eg. patient unable to adequately abduct her legs, mental retardation etc.

What kind of case do I put in the urinary incontinence (non surgical) category?

Several candidates have had this question. We know of no specific instance of a case of urinary incontinence requiring admission that does not require surgery . The only remote possibility could be the instance where a patient having urodynamic studies is officially ''''admitted'''' to the hospital?!

Case List Medical Questions

There is no category for forceps or vacuum deliveries. Where do I put my assisted vaginal deliveries on my OB list?

You are correct. There is no category for these cases. We typically would like to promote a discussion on any of our assisted vaginal deliveries. Consequently, it is advised that rather than place them in the last category, ''All other cases'', try to find another reason that will get the case into another category that will lend more prominence than the last category on the list. If there was preeclampsia, place the case in the hypertension category etc.

Mock Oral and Case List Review Questions

Does ExamPro offer specialist mock orals?

Yes, we have specially trained specialists in MFM, GYN Onc and REI for those who would like a mock oral specifically in these fields.

How will I know when my case list has been reviewed? How will I get it?

Your review files will be in an MP3 format. The files will be emailed to you by your reviewer.

Why do you have a late fee for case list review submission?

Your case list is due into ExamPro by July 5, 2012.
Unfortunately, any case list received after this date will be subject to a late fee of $250. A late fee has been set up to help encourage candidates to get their case lists to us an a timely manner. This will give the reviewer ample time to go thru each case list and address it with the same care and fine tooth comb approach we strive to give to each and every candidate. The closer to submission we receive a case list, the more pressure it puts on our reviewers which creates a disadvantage for both the candidate and the reviewer.
